Perfect little double boiler
This is the perfect pot for making delicate sauces, melting chocolate, or making puddings and creams. You fill the chamber with water until the glass vile shows that it is full. You then place the pot on the stove (gas or electric) and the contents heat very gently. Just this past weekend, my friend and I made chocolate bark for about 50 people and huge amounts of chocolate melted in what seemed like a few minutes and we never had to worry about burning the chocolate or getting water into it. I recommend this pot to anyone who cooks or bakes regularly.

This is an excellent one-piece double boiler that does exactly what it was designed to do: keep sauces or chocolate warm at even temperature without burning. The size is quite convenient and it makes a great server for sauce that can be warmed up with ease. It's about time for suc a great product.

Nice sized 3 piece set. The main pot has a good weight to it and can go in the oven as well as stove top. Top is a bit light, but practical for sauces. Budget smart for a double boiler that won't break your budget and will service your needs for many years.

Good for melting chocolate.
I used it to melt and temper 12 lbs of chocolate (not all at once). Work exactly as I hoped it would.

Good buy
This double boiler is a good buy for the money...but a little lighter weight than anticipated. The lid is glass but somewhat thin. The boilers are fine and performed well with my cream pie recipes. The only disappointment at all was the weight of the pans and lid. I was expecting a heavier type pan. But in comparison to the other prices I reviewed, I would say this is perfect for my needs.
