SCI Scandicrafts Stovetop Pizzelle Iron



A lot of fun.
I bought this iron about 6 months ago and I have had a lot of fun with it. It works perfectly, heats evenly on my stove-top and the cooked wafers are very consistent. I heat the iron and spray it with oil before the first use, so cleaning involves a simple wipe over too. I'm planning on having my intitials engraved in the center just like the Italians in Abruzzo do.

Bakes perfect pizzelles
Received one of these as a gift. Works perfectly with a gas range (removing the burner grate and holding the iron directly over the gas flame). I can't say how this would work with an electric burner, since I haven't tried that. Seasoning was simple: I just gave each side a little blast of Pam after preheating. No oil necessary after the first cookie. Never had one cookie stick (perhaps because pizzelle dough has a lot of butter).

Sure you could get an electric iron, but what's the fun of that?

Fantastic. It works so well. No sticking. I have an old fashion one that is seasoned according to my mother. My new one worked so much better that the old one. I need to buy another one. It worked great
