More Mini Than Described
Researching mini cocottes, I was annoyed by many reviewers complaining that they are small, and if you've read as many of these complaints as I have, you are probably writing me off right now as someone who doesn't bother to read the provided information about capacity and dimensions. I, however, am complaining because I did read and consider carefully, and I decided on this one because it was listed as a "12-Ounce Mini Oval Cocotte."
I am a huge fan of Le Creuset enameled cast iron, but think Le Creuset stoneware is overpriced and far less useful, so I was at first inclined to buy Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 1/3-Quart Mini Cocotte, Red but I decided that its listed size (1/3 quart) wasn't enough larger than my 8 oz. Staub mini cocotte to make much difference; I was looking for something slightly larger.
I decided on this, despite its being overpriced stoneware, because 12 ounces sounded...
it's tiny but beautiful....lovely for dips and sauces.
what a pretty pretty item to give as a hostess gift. It's tiny but so pretty! I'm proud to give them as gifts--great "stocking stuffers" filled with treats. !!
Cute versatile dish
Shipped quickly and was what I expected. I love the white color, very clean. I usually keep my butter in it, it has a tight fitting lid and I can microwave it if I need to. It was a good deal!
